NEW YORK (CNNMoney)
But there were signs Thursday that investors are starting to regain their confidence. U.S. stock futures were roughly 0.2% higher ahead of the opening bell, and a group of companies including Tesla were poised for a strong start after posting solid quarterly results.
U.S. stocks declined for a third straight day Wednesday based, in part, on fears of the U.S. Federal Reserve cutting back on its massive quantitative easing campaign, which has flooded the markets with liquidity.
Looking ahead, the U.S. government will release its weekly report on initial jobless claims at 8:30 a.m. ET. Firms including T-Mobile (TMUS) and Apollo Global Management (APO) are set to release quarterly results in the morning, while Priceline.com (PCLN) is up in the afternoon.
